Langspil experiments in 5th grade
Langspil experiments in 5th grade
Fifth-grade students recently participated in the Children's Culture Festival. A concert was held at the Spöng library. The concert grew out of a langspil workshop led by langspil player Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson. During the workshops, students learned the basics of playing the langspil, including plokk with swan feathers, strumming, and bowing. Students also received ensemble training with two members of the chamber group Nordic Affect, who perform on baroque instruments, and electronic musician Stefanos Skialivas, who is also a member of the Intelligent Instruments Lab at the University of Iceland.
